Cafe Nuovo

Lovely, every bite carefully curated. My highlights were the sauce in the clam and shrimp linguine and the roast duck was so tasty with a ginger foam and pickled side. Filet was large and cooked perfectly. The signature drinks were well crafted. The creme brulee ( although, to order it is a bit pedestrian) was the best I have ever had. At our table everyone was pleased and delighted by all the offerings; including clams casino, salmon tartar, arugula salad, tomato soup, tenderloin risotto and cappuccinos. A lovely night.

hard to find the front doors when you walk to the place lol and then the entrance seems like a business building but then the actual restaurant is very cute. came for restaurant weeks and they did not skimp. i felt fine dined and treated and took home leftovers. server was chill and it was a comfortable two hour experience. their salmon tartar is like really good, like really fresh and clean. and things are perfectly salted. i feel like some of these finer prov spots don’t salt things enough because they want you to taste the meat or taste the dish. but i personally think a good chef seasons and salts right. chicken was so tender a butter knife cut it and short rib could be eaten with just a fork. would def come back.

My mother says this place has the best seafood and the best view in Providence. I believe she gets the shrimp and scallops. Amazing pizza. We had a reservation on the patio. Right against the Providence River. Gondolas riding by. My food was fine but maybe bc I didn’t have seafood. Nothing too special.. but the pizza was so good. I want to come back again for just pizza. I’ve been here before for lunch and I think I liked lunch better. I remember they had extremely cute sugar for the cappuccino. They offer complimentary valet. We mentioned multiple times that we were in a bit of a rush if that was okay and our dinner still took almost 3 hours. We began our reservation at 6:30 which is a popular time at any restaurant but arrived early and left after 9pm. I am understanding that some things take a really long time and the food here is great but they maybe should have let us know when we said we were in a rush that some items would take significantly longer so we could adjust. Overall; great spot. Will definitely be back, just will make sure I have the entire night free.

He displayed the patience of a saint in dealing with my numerous requests and always made sure to promptly return my calls and emails. His attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our satisfaction was truly commendable. The staff at Cafe Nuovo was outstanding in every aspect. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist. Their professionalism and attentiveness throughout the event were truly impressive. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our guests felt welcomed and taken care of. Now, let's talk about the food. The culinary experience at Cafe Nuovo was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish that was served was prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. Took a date here on a rainy Monday night. Had a fantastic experience. Cole was our server and he was top notch. From his menu suggestions to wine recommendations we really could not have asked for more. I highly recommend the stuffed rigatoni and the watermelon sushi. Free valet was a nice addition to the experience. I will be back and I would 100% recommend asking for Cole when you make your reservation. He will make your night is memorable for sure. NOTE: Half of this experience was the waitstaff. Cole is a server at Bacaro now in Providence and if you want to look good on a date he’s your guy…

Perhaps one of the best meals I have ever had— and that’s not hyperbolic. The service we had was quick, attentive, and friendly. Liz, our server, provided honest and delicious recommendations! The chopped salad was refreshing and light. Very addictive, actually. The duck- was perhaps the best I’ve ever had… I couldn’t stop commenting how incredible it was. Everything we had was perfect! Cocktails were flavorful and had the right amount of kick. The chocolate cheesecake— would be worth the trip on its own. This place is fine dinning and their food is among the best I’ve had, anywhere.
